Leighton had her first vacation weekend at the beach house with Gran Jan and Granddad, while Mom and Dad enjoyed a much-needed staycation here in Charleston. It was a win-win for all, indeed.

Hmmm, stairs. We don't have these at home. I wonder how many times I can go up and down in one day?
Leighton loved spending time with her grandparents and being one the first overnight visitors at the "new" beach house. She played, read books, ate lots of good (homemade, better-than-mom-makes) food, got in to every drawer and cabinet within reach, and kept her grandparents very busy all weekend. A great big thank you to Gran Jan and Granddad for stealing our girl for the weekend. We couldn't be more thankful for some relaxing time just the two of us in our own city!
