Well, I won't lie. And I won't make excuses...
We've been living at the Stairs' beach house for almost three weeks since closing on our house and have taken about as many pictures of Leighton in one month as we did in one hour of her life last summer. Our camera has been packed away so the few we have are iPhone pictures from one of our phones. Between packing/moving out, living out suitcases, working full time, traveling every weekend this month for various weddings, all while trying to keep up with our energetic one year old, we're barely keeping things together and simply haven't had time for pictures. Right, I said no excuses. But you get the drift. Life got a little ahead of us and we promise to do better with pictures the rest of the summer! In the meantime, here are some of the few pictures we managed to capture while living beach bum style this month.

And, the best part of being beach bums (well, other than GranJan's cooking and the beach, which we've only been to ONE time in almost four weeks here)... the pool! We logged quite a few hours of fun in the pool, especially in the early evenings after school. I finally found our packed away camera for our last weekend here to get some pictures of Leighton enjoying some water time.
As our time comes to an end and moving day approaches, we owe a GIGANTIC thank you to GranJan and PopPop for taking in our homeless-chaotic-beach-bum-family-of-four (Bax too!) for the month and for their generous hospitality (not to mention the babysitting gigs on the side while we were away). It has been a very stressful and overwhelming month, but we all survived... and, believe it or not, they still love us :)
