The big day has come and gone... Harrison is ONE!
I thought about planning a big party with friends for H's birthday. Needless to say, that thought came and went very quickly. We ended up with just a small family gathering on Saturday to celebrate, and it was perfect. Simple and sweet.
~ Smash cake ~
He wasn't quite sure what to do at first but ended up getting into it and having a couple bites
His big sister waited patiently and finally got to help show him how it's done.
He was way more entertained by the balloons than the cake!
Then today (Tuesday) was Harrison's actual birthday so the fam came over for a second mini celebration.
Griffin and Leighton (in her new princess dress from Aunt Kathy) helped us celebrate!
Really not so sure about this cake business...
And yes, this is the best (only) picture we got with the birthday boy after two birthday parties. Sad.
So, Harrison Campbell Stair, here we are. You're one. I can't even believe it. How on earth has it already been 12 whole months?! You are one busy (and big) boy. Stats are in from your 12 month appointment:
Weight: 24 lbs (75th percentile)
Height: 31.5 inches (95th percentile)
Even though you aren't a big eater, Dr. Herring says the whole milk must be doing you well and your growth curve looks very healthy, so we shouldn't worry about a thing (yet). I guess that's good news, although you (and your mama) sure would be happier if you would EAT food!
Your likes this past month:
* Standing up. You're constantly on the go (still crawling) and standing wherever/whenever you can.
* Water. Wherever you can find it. Baths (and Baxley's dog bowl) are your favorites.
* Pulling hair, especially your sister's and mama's.
* Milk and squeezy food pouches.
* Your new tricycle. Obsessed.
* Shaking your head back and forth to say "no".
And your dislikes this past month:

And your dislikes this past month:
* Most food, but we're working on that.
* Being overtired. No one can mess with your nap time.
* Being left in a room by yourself.
* Being tormented by your sister. Don't worry, one day you'll be able to pay her back.
No matter how good or bad the day is, this face and smile can fix anything.
We love you so.
Happy 1st birthday to our sweet little buddy!
