Well, unfortunately, Leighton spent the better part of the last week and a half not feeling well. First pink eye (the weekend before last), followed by an awful virus this past week/weekend. Awful is an understatement. We stayed home from work/school on Friday, and our poor girl spent most of the weekend crying away her four-day fever, while we spent most of the time passing our inconsolable child back and forth exhausting all means possible to make her stop. Nothing worked. Except a little Mickey Mouse and snuggle time here and there...
By Sunday, we finally got in a few errands, storytime at Barnes & Noble, and a little playtime, none of which lasted very long.
And, as if the past week or two weren't storm enough, now I've caught the virus and feel horrible. Meanwhile, our house is under contract, we haven't started packing (which is near impossible with a one-year old), and we'll be homeless in a month. When it rains, it pours.
