Gigi and Aunt Belle braved a long distance trip (followed by an overnight stay) with Leighton to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. Although she was pouty to start (slightly terrified of the animals at first and the 95 degree heat probably didn't help), she warmed up and had a blast. They went to the zoo, swam, ate pizza (and apparently cookies AND ice cream) for dinner, stayed up late, and slept at a hotel. Spoiled rotten. Isn't that what grandmothers and aunts are for after all?!
