For the first time since our wedding in June 2006, the Stairs and Johnsons gathered together to celebrate Thanksgiving and to await the arrival of little LWS. Due to the renovations at the Stair’s beach house, and the expected anxiety that comes with knowing the little one is due in one week and could arrive any minute, we decided to forego cooking at home. Instead, we enjoyed an amazing lunch at the Yacht Club downtown, the future reception site for Hannah and Ricky’s wedding in 2012!

We decided to wrap up the Thanksgiving weekend tonight with a "birthing party" dinner for LWS in hopes that we could spur along a quicker arrival. My parents are still in town and are planning to head back to Cincinnati tomorrow morning rather than wait out five more days until her due date (which could obviously be longer if she is late). Jan cooked a lowcountry boil with extra spicy foods, which we heard might make this little baby come more quickly. I enjoyed a nice glass of red wine (can't wait until I can have more than one again!) and Taylor bought a cookie cake with baby girl's initials for dessert.
Here's to hoping this is the last supper before miss LWS' arrival because I'm not sure any of us (especially this girl with the 40 lb belly) can wait any longer!
