Well, the weather is finally cooling down and fall seems to be in full swing. It's about time. We can finally break out the jackets here in Charleston (now that it's almost November).
As Halloween quickly approaches, we've had a fun-filled week packed with various fall festivities. First was the MPPC Fall Festival at the church. Leighton refused to wear her costume and was not happy with her mama for trying to make her wear said costume. So we pouted. All night. Needless to say, it was not a long-lived event. Then Thursday evening was the fall festival at Daniel Island Academy. Leighton loved hanging out with her friends from school and enjoyed all of the festival activities, especially the eating pizza part.
Dinner with her friend, Juju
Last but not least, we topped off the week with a visit to the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch. Leighton has been learning a lot about pumpkins this week with Ms. Sarah at school. She's so proud of herself whenever she spots a "pumky." We told her we where were going after her nap and she woke up excited to go see all the "pumkies!"
Petting zoo. Our cautious girl didn't like petting, but she got close (after 15 mins observing...)
And we couldn't leave without catching the last hayride of the evening
