Tennessee Bound

It's always a tough reality. We're suddenly reminded just how precious life is. And just how quickly it can be taken away from us. Our hearts our heavy this past week since finding out Taylor's uncle, Art, passed away unexpectedly. So with that, we were Tennessee bound with the kids for Art's funeral this past Thursday. It was a beautiful service. Kent delivered a heartfelt eulogy in honor of his brother and ended it with a special request to friends and family. He urged everyone to "go home this evening and hug someone you love a little tighter because you just never know when they will no longer be around to hug." Chills. So scary, but so true. This day, and everyday, we should love a little deeper, laugh a little louder, and hug all of our loved ones a little tighter. And, as Uncle Art would want all of us to do... have fun.

Despite the circumstances for our Kingsport visit, we did just that.

We decided to make the most of our six hour trip to Tennessee and stayed at the Huffs for the long weekend and had a simply wonderful time.

Happiness is...
a crisp fall morning, pajamas, cowgirl boots, and a huge pile of leaves.

Followed by a morning bath to clean up

Leighton asked ALL day "can we go back to the cool playground?"
