I picked up Leighton from school this afternoon (after dropping my mom and Aunt Sherry at the airport) and we had the following conversation on our way out to the car.
Leighton: "Where's Grammy and Sherry?"
Me: "They had to go home, baby."
Leighton: "How do they go home?"
Me: "They went home on an airplane."
Leighton: "I want to go in airplane with them. I miss Grammy and Sherry."
Me: "Me too, Bug. I cried when they left."
[stops walking]
Leighton: "You sad, Mommy?"
Me: "Yes, I was very sad."
Leighton: "It's ok, Mommy. I give you hug to make you happy."
[gives me big hug and kiss]
