Weekend Parties

It's hard to believe this school year has already come to an end. It flew by. Unfortunately, we will be leaving Daniel Island Academy this year (but hopefully coming back with both kids when H is one year old). It's sad to say goodbye to all of the friends we've made and to Leighton's teachers who have been so incredibly good to her. This Saturday, we hosted an end of the year class party at our neighborhood pavilion to close out a fabulous school year with the friends, families, and teachers who made it all so wonderful.

And one other really cute picture from school this week...
Leighton, Rowan and Hunter - wearing the friendship necklaces they made for each other.

We owe the biggest thank you to Leighton's teachers, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Kayla, for a truly amazing year. Leighton wouldn't be where she is now and know as much as she does without the two of them.  She has truly flourished. Big hugs to both Sarah and Kayla - we sure are going to miss them and all of our friends at DIA! Oh no, here come the tears...

On a happier note, we wrapped up the weekend last night with the Duncan wedding at I'On Creek Club. What a beautiful setting for Chris and Erika's small, intimate wedding. It was a very kid-friendly wedding so we brought Leighton along (leaving H at home with a sitter). Much to our surprise, Leighton was amazing - she sat through the entire ceremony quietly watching "the princess" get married, tried all different foods at the buffet dinner, and then danced her heart out at the reception making it all the way to 10:00 pm!  Unfortunately, we didn't get too many pictures of our party girl's dance moves. Oh well, next time.
