September Days

Well, here we are again. Time got away from me. Again. Seems like that's the norm these days. The past few weekends have been jam packed with busy days and lots of fun as summer comes to an end.

Both kids started out the month with a cold virus (which our household has battled
on and off all month) but we're all finally on the mend.

Fun night out - box seats at Jake Owen concert, compliments of the Jenkinsons

And... the morning after (in case you're wondering what hangovers are like with kids at 7 am :))

Kicking off the NFL Season on Sunday. Go Bengals (and Falcons)!
Then an afternoon playdate with Marshall and Wells - they were singing to their babydoll.

Leighton's first homework project. An "All About Me" puzzle piece for her classroom.
Yes, she's in 2k, and this took us hours.

Thursday dinner at the Yacht Club with the fam

And Friday afternoon HH with the kiddos at Pitt St bridge...

The next weekend, Dad and Leighton enjoyed "Daddy and Me" morning at Blackbeard's Cove while I enjoyed a little quiet time and some errands with Harrison, followed by some beach house swim time with Gigi and PopPop. Fun day!

Morning snuggles and naptime on-the-go

First time at Blackbeards!

The go-carts weren't here favorite - "It's loud, Daddy, I need to hold my ears."

Some little girl found Gigi's makeup bag. She's obsessed with lipstick.

H had fun too. He's been trying desperately to sit up on his own.

Then this past weekend, Taylor and I headed up to NC for our 10-year reunion at Wake Forest while Aunt Belle and Gigi took over childcare with the kids. Juggling a toddler and a baby isn't easy (I'll be the first to admit it, and I'm the mom!), but they had fun together and they all four survived the long weekend while we enjoyed our time away. Pics from our WFU homecoming weekend to come in the following post.

We owe a huge thank you to our family, especially Gigi and Aunt Belle, for keeping our munchkins, they are the best! We're so lucky to have them here and thankful for their hard work playing parents this long weekend.
