Here are her two month statistics:
Weight: 10 lbs 5 ounces (33rd percentile)
Length: 24 inches (94th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.5 inches (63rd percentile)
Looks like we have a supermodel on our hands :)
We discussed L's feeding and age-appropriate developmental milestones with Ms. Kelly to make sure she is where she should be at two months. Sure enough, she's right on track!
Cycle/Schedule: "feed, wake, sleep" cycle is working pretty well now throughout the day; working towards a schedule
Feeding: typically every 3 hours
Sleeping: naps briefly an hour or two after every feeding (depending on where we are); sleeping through the night (just recently)
Development: smiles often (now to others besides just Mommy and Daddy), starting to coo, tracks objects and reaches for them, starting to get head support but needs to work on holding up head when on her tummy (tummy time has been minimal because she gets pretty upset on her stomach). Ms. Kelly says let her cry and she'll start pushing herself up like she should.
And then came the worst part, the dreaded shots...
Surprisingly, it went SO well! She lit up bright red immediately and tried to scream but couldn't get it out and ended up crying for about 30 seconds and it was over. No kidding. All that worry for nothing. Turns out she's a tough little girl (unlike her mama whose tolerance for pain is extremely low).
Oh, and speaking of tummy time, we had our first attempt at a real tummy time a couple nights ago on the playmat (up until now, tummy time really only takes place on Mom or Dad's chest). Failure. Rather than trying to push up and strengthen her neck muscles, or better yet, cry as she usually does when put on her stomach, she fell fast asleep within 3 minutes. I guess we have some work to do...
